Media Diary

22/09/08

Listened to my ipod in the morning(7:30-8:15), on the bus.
I mainly listen to it to wake me up and to prepare me for the day.
The journey takes 40 minutes each way, I am bored of talking to everyone and nowday's I am a grumpy sixth former so I just plug in too some 'banging' tunes!
I tend to listen to my ipod on the way back as well(4:45-5:20).
Went on the laptop after I got bored and side-tracked from my homework around 8:00 till around 9:30 ish. Why do I waste useful time like that!

23/09/08

The normal ipod routine was in place this morning and in the evening, I really am not that exciting, also I am a creature of habit.
Didnt really do much homework, instead I just talked to my uncle who has come down from Derbyshire about the football. Sometimes the 'chats' can get quite heated! Also if my team has won and his lost I will sure enough let him know about it and visa versa!

Yes you guessed it, ipod was sure enough plugged in morning and evening for the bus. It really does get boring after doing that journey so many times, in fact I worked it out once, as an estimate I have done the 'gx to berko journey' over 1,200 times. Tooooooooo many times in my opinion! Now on my laptop should be planning many essays but have just been at football trials and now I feel like I am about to die. I am literally falling asleep on the key board. But just listening to some music on itunes and my dad is keeping me posted on the chelsea score.
C'mon the blues!!!!!!!!!!!

25/09/08

Watched GMTV in the morning still half asleep(7:00-7:15). I prefer GMTV in the morning since it is more light hearted then BBC. It is easier to watch that early in the morning because its not all dull and gloomy! Got onto the bus listened to the new Kings of Leon album....INCREDIBLE. I am going to watch them standing at the O2 arena. But I got the last ticket on ticketmaster so I am going by myself at the moment. :( . Listened to radio 1 in photography (9:00-10:15). One of the younger kids had NME magazine so I read that on the bus back. Interesting article on Oasis.

26/09/08

Watched freshly squeezed on channel four in the morning. (7:00-7:15) It is film day on it so it was interesting what films are out etc. I lose touch with what are the new realeases at school! I really want to go and see Pineapple express it looks pretty goooood. Watched a video on crime and punishment in General studies whilst people were being shown around for open day! I to be a guide for nearly an hour, I was quite shocked!I went back to my friends house to get ready for the party, we listened to some party tunes to get us in the mood!(6:00-7:00) Then as we got to the party there was a DJ playing all sorts of random music, I tried to start a dance off when Billie Jean came on but i failed miserably! (8:00-12:00)

Media Studies :)

First bit of homework was a review for Shaun of the Dead. Love that film!
Things are going good and enjoying the lessons!

Shaun of the Dead- Review

Shaun of the dead is one of my favourite films purely because of the fast witty and original humour. Every time I see the film it never fails to crack me up. The film is a clever parody of the original ’Dawn of the Dead’. It also contains one of my favourite actor’s : Simon Pegg, who has been in other memorable films for me (Run Fatboy Run and Hot fuzz). Shaun, a North London loser, is a disappointment to his girlfriend, family, friends and flatmate. Only his mate Ed, an even bigger loser, looks up to him. The two often play pranks on each other and I feel that this relationship between the two makes the movie. Shaun is dumped by his girlfriend due too his lack of commitment and that he always wants to go to the ‘Winchester’(the local pub). As Shaun lives his average life he starts too notice some odd things and people changing. The two coach potato’s watch the news and realise there is something seriously wrong, average human beings are turning into zombies. Since Shaun and Ed are so ignorant they don’t realise until two zombies smash there windows in the hope to get into there living room, a classic comedy moment! Then flesh-eating zombies overrun the city and Shaun is forced to take responsibility for the survival of his friends and family. They manage to do this and realise that the only safe place is the pub, typical! After the comical journey to the pub they arrive safely, although Shaun’s mum is bitten by a zombie, in the end Shaun is forced too shoot his mum but this is when she is a zombie. Eventually after many trials and tribulations they manage to defend the pub until when too many zombies over power them and they are forced to head to the cellar where they escape. This film is a classical British sitcom and will not disappoint!
